In November 2018, Dr. Cottrell attended the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA) Conference and Annual Meeting in Dublin, Ireland.

While there, she was honored to be elected to the Management Committee. The other committee members hail from Norway, Ireland, Brazil, and Austria. Being the only member from the U.S., Dr. Cottrell’s personal commitment is to bring more U.S. members to the annual conferences, which are held all over the world.

The overall responsibilities of the IVCA are to uphold the educational standards of the animal chiropractics schools, accredit these schools, and provide the exams for graduates of the programs to certify the licensed chiropractors and veterinarians, the only people qualified to enroll. The IVCA also strives to improve rapport between the veterinary and chiropractic professions to better serve our animal clients.
